Server Configuration
Backups
Save and restore your server's roles, channels and settings.
Overview
The backup command group snapshots your server's structure so it can be restored later, useful before a big change or as a recovery plan after a raid or nuke.
Every
backup subcommand can only be used by the server owner.Commands
| Command | Description |
|---|---|
backup create <name> [description] | Create a new backup of the current server. |
| backup list | List every saved backup. Alias: ls. |
backup view <name> | View details of a specific backup. |
backup export <name> | Export a backup as a file. |
| backup import | Import a previously exported backup file. |
backup rename <name> <new_name> | Rename a saved backup. |
backup delete <name> | Delete a saved backup. |
backup restore <name> | Restore the server to a saved backup. |
Restoring a backup is destructive: it recreates roles, channels and other server settings from the snapshot. Solitary needs Manage Roles, Manage Channels, Ban Members, Manage Server and Manage Events to restore fully.
